Alaska Fly fishing Dream Trip

A father and son adventure
Sometimes dreams do come true. Mark Linsky and his son Austin lived their fly fishing dream the first week of September at Bear Trail Lodge in Alaska. They fished 5 rivers in 5 days and caught Rainbows and Coho Salmon. A great staff, pro team of guides along with head guide Kate Taylor made it happen.

Mark (a Gorge Fly Shop customer from Florida) called me earlier this year about putting together a trip for him and his son Austin. They had previously fly fished in Idaho and Montana, but they were looking for new water and adventure. We talked about Alaska and their interest in fishing for both Rainbows and Salmon. Bear Trail Lodge ended up being the best fit because, in addition to their stellar fishing program, they are flexible on length of stay and arrival and departure days. Bear Trail is a full fly-out lodge, located outside of King Salmon on the Naknek River. The lodge is first class in accommodations, food and hospitality.

Fish your dream!
